James 4:10 “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall Lift you up.”

The three things that immediately jump out from this verse is Humility, Seeing and Lifting. To humble oneself is the act of humility. Something that seems to be missing in the world around us. What the world is missing; is that humility before God through prayer and fasting is like a sweet aroma that ascends to the very Throne Room of God. That aroma causes God the Father’s Sight, to be set on you! With His Eyes upon you, there is a reaching down and a lifting up of you! Remarkably like the moment Peter was walking on water to the Lord Jesus and Peter taking his eyes off Jesus began to sink. Peter cried out to the Lord and Jesus took Peter by the hand, lifted him up and they walked on water together back to the boat. Prayer and Fasting, a sign of humbleness before our Heavenly Father, will bring a Lifting Hand from God Himself!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, take my hand and lift me up. I come before you with thanksgiving in my heart. I want to thank you for my salvation through your sacrifice. You are my Lord and Savior. I rejoice, knowing that my name is written in the Lambs Book of Life. Thank you for eternal life!  Help me to be the light you are to me to those around me this day. Amen
