Matthew 6:9-13 “This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Sometimes we need a time out. Just the opportunity to stop the world around us from spinning and allow us to catch our breath. Why? Because in the midst of all the mess we need to remember that God is good and in control. His will is made for our greatest good. He will provide for our needs. He forgives us and will never led us into temptation. Most of all, He delivers us from the evil one. Fasting helps us by giving that time to remember.
